Christmas Caroling

The hat and the stupid thing I do at the end make this really ridiculous, but I don't have anything else to post.

Best Christmas Movies and Specials

#5- National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

I just saw this movie a few weeks ago, and it was really funny. If you haven't seen it, because I know a lot of people who haven't, make sure to. It's basically about a family Christmas where everything that could possibly go wrong, does.

#4- Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

Fun Fact- The voice of Rudolph was recorded by a woman.

Hermey: "Hey, what do you say we both be independent together, huh?"
Rudolph: "You wouldn't mind my - red nose?"
Hermey: "Not if you don't mind me being a dentist."
Rudolph: "It's a deal."

#3- How the Grinch Stole Christmas

"You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch.
You really are a heel.
You're as cuddly as a cactus,
You're as charming as an eel.
Mr. Grinch.
You're a monster, Mr. Grinch.
Your heart's an empty hole.
Your brain is full of spiders,
You've got garlic in your soul.
Mr. Grinch."

#2- A Charlie Brown Christmas

"Get the biggest aluminum tree you can find, Charlie Brown, maybe painted pink."
Charlie, I'm so glad you didn't. In fact, I was just thinking today how one Christmas I need to find a really small, wimpy looking tree and then tell people I have Charlie Brown's tree.

#1- Elf

This has to be my favorite Christmas movie. I've seen it a million times and it is still hilarious. It's about an human named Buddy who grows up in the north pole and then learns that he's not an elf. Then he goes to New York to look for his dad and has some... interesting adventures on the way. He also teaches us that- "We elves like to stick with the four main food groups; candy, candy canes, candy corns, and syrup."

Well that took me forever to do, so I'm going to go take a cue from Santa and try to fatten up.

Way to kill the Christmas spirit...

Here's a happy little fun fact- I was hit in the face for singing Christmas carols today. I was very happy and in a carol-y mood in homeroom today, so I decided to sing Christmas music even though the only carols I know all of the words to are Rudolph and Jingle Bells. (and just a side note, my homeroom definitely does not have a shortage of morons and jerks) Then three guys started yelling at me and telling me to shutup and saying that I should die in a hole (Thanks guys, I feel so freaking talented now) and one of them threw somthing at me. I don't know what it was, but it felt like a rock and landed right on my upper lip. Later after that, the inside of my lip was swelling up a little bit.
Here's what the guy looked like-

No, really. I'm serious.

Eclipse...without the vampires

There was a eclipse early this morning (starting about 1:30) and I managed to wake my self up to see it. I found out afterward that it was rare because it coincided with the winter solstice and that the last time it happened was, I think, about 300 years ago.

Well that's basically all I have to say. I would post pictures of it, but neither my camera or my mom's camera managed to take a single good picture.

Dear Teen Vogue,

You never cease to amaze me.

And just to further illustrate my amazement, I'd like you to know that it was nearly impossible to choose which one of their spreads to post. (So there will likely be more posts like this to come)

December 19th? I think there's something important about it....Oh Yeah!

It's my birthday!
Sorry I haven't been able to write in a few days, but I hope you liked the post from Katie. (oh and by the way, she has jokes that are a whole lot...worse)

For an early birthday present a few days ago, I got just about the coolest thing ever. It's called Yoostar. It comes with a green screen (Yay!) and a camera and computer software that works with the green screen to make it look like you are in whatever background you choose. It also has a bunch of movie scenes that you can be one of the characters in. I'll post one of the videos I made later.

And now I have to go because we're going to eat at Noodles & Company. Yum! (especially for me, since all I eat is pasta)

Oh, and heads up to all Coldplay fans, a bunch of their songs are only 69 cents on iTunes.

Hey, It's Katie!

Hello people, this is Abby's friend Katie. Abby can't get on the computer for a little while, so I get to post!

Here are some corny jokes (I tell one everyday in math class);

Two atoms are walking down the street when they run into each other.
The first says to the second, "Are you all right? You don't look so good."
"I'm not feeling very well," says the second atom. "I lost an electron!"
"Are you sure?" asks the first.
"Yeah, I'm positive!"

Last night I dreamed about mufflers ...and when I woke up this morning I was exhausted!

A man walks into a Cadillac dealer and buys a car...but before he gets it delivered, he asks the salesman to put a large 'S' on the doors and roof.
"What do you want an 'S' on the doors and roof of a Cadillac for?"
The man replies: so as I pass people on the freeway they can say: "Look at that 'S' car go!"

A man walks into a bar and begins to eat some of the peanuts while the bar-tender fixes his drink.
Just before the first peanut reached his mouth, it said: "My that sure is a nice shirt!"
Finding this kind of strange, the man grabs another nut to eat. It too spoke and said: "I sure like that tie you are wearing!"
Confused and slightly frightened, the man told the bartender what the nuts told him.
The bartender replied: "Well of course they did, they are complimentary."

A man walks into a diner one morning and orders coffee.
Once he received the coffee he took a sip and immediately proclaimed to the waiter: "This coffee tastes like dirt!"
The waiter replied: "Well it should, it was just ground this morning."

And my personal favorite.....
What's green and has wheels?  Grass, I lied about the wheels.(:

Okay, that's about it. Oh, and I've always wanted to say this,

Always,
Katie Noel (But my name isn't really noel, it's Elizabeth)

Uh-oh

I just noticed that I got my first "boring" as a response a few posts ago. I'm really paranoid now because I don't want to be boring again, so wish me luck.

I just made a batch of pretzels for the 3rd time and, once again, they turned out amazing. So here's the recipe I've been using-

Ingredients-
1 tablespoon Honey
3/4 cup warm water
1 1/2 teaspoons Yeast
2 cups all-purpose flour
Pinch of Salt
1 egg mixed with 2 teaspoons of Water
Course salt for the top of Pretzels (regular salt is okay too)

Directions-
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease baking sheet.
  2. In medium size bowl combine honey and water. Stir in Yeast.
  3. Mix together flour and pinch of salt. Add to yeast mixture and stir until dough forms.
  4. Knead lightly on a floured surface until smooth.
  5. Divide dough into 10 equal parts.
  6. Roll dough into about an 12 inch rope and shape into pretzel form. Place on cookie sheet, brush with egg mixture and sprinkle with course salt (optional)
  7. Bake 15 minutes. Makes 10 Pretzels.
If you make them right, they're good. Trust me.

While searching for the internet for an hour, this is the only thing I managed to find-

If you have any ideas for what I should write about in the future, telling me would be VERY helpful.

Abby Noel

A story from my ginger....

Hey, this is Katie. I was texting my friend Megan, and she had just told me about this guy that followed her back from her neighborhood pool. He was really creepy and in this big van. And he almost kidnapped her. Then she was texting me all of these quotes, and she sent one that said "You will suffer and You will hurt.". So naturally I thought some creepy guy had killed her and sent me that message. I was then scared that the guy would some how know where I lived and then come after me. I completely freaked out. The next day she told me that she forgot the end of the quote and was really sorry. I almost punched her in the face. So that was the story from Abby's Ginger!

- Katie

Century after century...

To explain the title, a certain teacher of mine snapped in class today and ranted for 10 minutes about how we don't use our time wisely (hypocritical much?) So the title is just a bit of what she said. (Okay, so she didn't actually say that. She just said "day after day, week after week, decade after decade," but naturally Katie and I had to add something to it to make her sound really old while we told people about it. )

While searching the Internet for ideas on what presents I want for Christmas and my birthday, I found a very interesting idea. There are a bunch of companies that can take a blog and print it into a book. I think this would be really cool to have a few years from now when I might not be blogging anymore. Of course I wouldn't want it just yet because this blog hasn't really had a lot of posts yet, but wouldn't that be cool later on?

The most recent cycle of America's Next Top Model just recently ended, and I had only seen a few of the first episodes. So out of curiosity, I looked it up to see who won(Ann Ward), and ended up finding the portfolios of all of the contestants. I don't think that the runner-up of any contest like this ever gets very much recognition, so here are some of her pictures-
(By the way, the runner-up's name is Chelsey Hersley)

^Ironically, this one has both the runner-up and the winner paired together weeks before they were finalists.

Also, I thought the winner's picture from the fallen angel photo shoot was really good, so here is that one-

Well that's all I really have time for.  Maybe later I can get Katie to post her scary story of what happened to her a while ago. (It's the weirdest thing ever)

Abby Noel
