Youth

I'm just posting to check in so no one thinks I evaporated or something (even though I might have evaporated with all the time I've been spending in the sun recently). I would say that I haven't posted because I've been busy, but I really haven't been. I guess I've just been taking some lazy days. It's summer, I'm allowed to be lazy :)

Yesterday was the last day of filming for the teen movie project I'm in and I can't wait to see the finished project. They should be done editing around the middle of August. I'll probably be able to post it on here, and that kinda scares me. The huge difference between plays and movies is that if you mess up in a play, your mess up is done and over with right after it happens. If you mess up in a movie or say something weird or wrong, it's stuck that way.

I'm going to try to post the fantasy Friday this week but I can't make any promises considering I haven't really kept up with it. At some point I may just make a seperate page for it and post a new piece of the story daily. Whatever happens, I'll let you know.

In the mean time, check out this song I found recently. It's pretty much all I have been listening to for the past few days.

Fun fact of the day.

Adding "BAM!" can make any story sound like an action adventure movie.

For example-
One day, a lady was knitting and BAM! she finished a sweater. Then her cat jumped up on the woman's lap and BAM! the cat meowed. The doorbell rang and the lady went to see who it was and BAM! it was a girl scout. The lady bought five boxes of thin mints, ate them all, and BAM! she gained ten pounds.

The end.

Why we have no friends....

Here's another video from my ginger friend and I about why no one ever wants to talk to us. (You don't even want to talk to us! You don't know this, but someone brain washed you to read my blog. And in ten minutes, you won't even remember me telling you this. Sorry)

Painting you a postcard...

Who needs gift shops when you can find a little piece of artwork in the sand?

The part of my brain that comes up with titles fell asleep three hours ago.

As you all know, my family just moved recently and I don't know too many people. Normally it would take me some time to find some friends and start working on any sort of project, but I've managed to break that pattern.

We were just getting some library cards when the librarian told me about a film group for teens that's based out of the library. Coincidentally auditions for the new film they're doing were going to happen the next day. I wasn't sure if it was something I wanted to do (since I didn't know a soul there) but I'm glad my parents managed to convince me to try it out.
I thought I completely blew the audition because I was really awkward, but I ended up getting two parts! Today was our first day of filming the parts with my character, and it was probably the most fun and hilarious but miserable and exhausting thing I've done. We were choreographing a fight scene. In the sun. And humidity. For an hour and a half. Let's just say I have a new-found respect for the actors in any movie that's filmed outside of an air conditioned building.

What is really exciting about this movie is that there is going to be a big showing at the library (yes, the PUBLIC library) and then the movie will be on DVD that people can check out from the library. That means real people are going to watch this! Eep!

P.S. Like the new layout? It's the design that I won a while ago, isn't it great?! The lady at Small Bird Studios really did a great job :)

Me and my ginger friend :D

Here's a little video that my friend Katie and I made a little bit ago.

These are some posts that Katie has written here (and one post about her being dumb) on my blog in case you haven't seen them.

We made another video too, that one will be posted soon!

Sing to me, summer...

summerrrr by alwaysabbynoel on Grooveshark

I've been discovering a lot of new music recently and most of it has a cool, summery mood. Or at least it seems to fit my summer pretty well. I've dropped off the face of the internet recently because my family is moving, but now we're pretty much settled in our new place. We live by some really cute beach towns, so you'll probably be seeing some pictures soon. But until then, enjoy the music :)

Summer memories will fade in the sun...

After accidentally taking a few of these pictures, I learned my camera has a slow shutter speed. Under any other circumstances, that would ruin photos, but this time it gave us a collection of pictures that look remarkably like indie album covers.

Life Lessons with Lazor!

(He probably won't be too thrilled with the title, it's kinda the cheesiest thing I've ever come up with.)

So Lazor is my friend that I met at the play competition when I was in Antigone. He's super cool because he let a stranger (a.k.a. me!)  play temple run on his iPod while we were waiting for the judges to be done with everything. (Plus, his name is Lazor, how can someone NOT be cool when their name is Lazor?) He's always coming up with these deep, thoughtful Facebook statuses, so I thought it'd be cool to have him write something to post here. And here's what he came up with- (girls, you'll like this)

I really can't understand the motivation for most of the teenage boys in our generation to just want a girl for a physical purpose. To me, it just seems unintelligent and unjustified to treat a girl like that. The only reason I can ever understand for wanting to be with a girl is because I genuinely like spending time with her, and because she's an interesting person. Where's the passion in just using somebody? It's just barbaric and I really wish the nature of most guys wasn't like this, but it is. I'm sorry for anyone who's been hurt because of these people, but I know one apology from one guy doesn't mean that much.

Well there you go. Comment! Maybe I can get him on blogger to comment back.

Have fun and make a difference!

There was a time long long ago when I actually got on Facebook to socially network myself. That lasted for about thirty minutes. Then I turned to my stalking phase. Now I've moved on to my addicted-to-games phase.

If you like Facebook games like I do, you really need to check out this game called WeTopia. It's a little like Farmville, but has something that no other game has. You can give the Joy Points you earn by playing to real charities that help real people. I could talk about it a lot, but I'll just let Ellen take over-

And for those of you that are Justin Bieber fans, he's also a Wetopian!

So check out the game! And if you're friends with me on Facebook, become my neighbor! I'll send LOTS of gifts :)
