Sing to me, summer...

summerrrr by alwaysabbynoel on Grooveshark

I've been discovering a lot of new music recently and most of it has a cool, summery mood. Or at least it seems to fit my summer pretty well. I've dropped off the face of the internet recently because my family is moving, but now we're pretty much settled in our new place. We live by some really cute beach towns, so you'll probably be seeing some pictures soon. But until then, enjoy the music :)

Summer memories will fade in the sun...

After accidentally taking a few of these pictures, I learned my camera has a slow shutter speed. Under any other circumstances, that would ruin photos, but this time it gave us a collection of pictures that look remarkably like indie album covers.

Life Lessons with Lazor!

(He probably won't be too thrilled with the title, it's kinda the cheesiest thing I've ever come up with.)

So Lazor is my friend that I met at the play competition when I was in Antigone. He's super cool because he let a stranger (a.k.a. me!)  play temple run on his iPod while we were waiting for the judges to be done with everything. (Plus, his name is Lazor, how can someone NOT be cool when their name is Lazor?) He's always coming up with these deep, thoughtful Facebook statuses, so I thought it'd be cool to have him write something to post here. And here's what he came up with- (girls, you'll like this)

I really can't understand the motivation for most of the teenage boys in our generation to just want a girl for a physical purpose. To me, it just seems unintelligent and unjustified to treat a girl like that. The only reason I can ever understand for wanting to be with a girl is because I genuinely like spending time with her, and because she's an interesting person. Where's the passion in just using somebody? It's just barbaric and I really wish the nature of most guys wasn't like this, but it is. I'm sorry for anyone who's been hurt because of these people, but I know one apology from one guy doesn't mean that much.

Well there you go. Comment! Maybe I can get him on blogger to comment back.

Have fun and make a difference!

There was a time long long ago when I actually got on Facebook to socially network myself. That lasted for about thirty minutes. Then I turned to my stalking phase. Now I've moved on to my addicted-to-games phase.

If you like Facebook games like I do, you really need to check out this game called WeTopia. It's a little like Farmville, but has something that no other game has. You can give the Joy Points you earn by playing to real charities that help real people. I could talk about it a lot, but I'll just let Ellen take over-

And for those of you that are Justin Bieber fans, he's also a Wetopian!

So check out the game! And if you're friends with me on Facebook, become my neighbor! I'll send LOTS of gifts :)

Ask Abby- New day!

In case you missed the memo, the Ask Abby posts are now going to be on Thursdays. So here are all the questions I've been horribly ignoring for the past few weeks.

Jeanne asked-
Hi Abby!
I just discovered your blog and i really love it! I\'m planning to make my own blog and i wonder why you\'re using blogspot...Thanx!
Thank you very much :) I use blogspot because 1) it's free. That's always a plus. 2) It's really easy to use. You never really need to know anything about anything to be able to have an awesome blog, or else I wouldn't be blogging at all, and 3) It's really fun getting to know other people who use blogspot because everyone is interesting and has their own unique blogging style.
If you end up make a blog here, make sure to send me your URL!

Jeanne also asked-
My best friend that i haven\'t seen for 1 year, is coming to visit me. I would love to make her a really original present (not too expensive)...Do you have any idea what i can give to her?
I have a few ideas- if she's artistic (if she likes to write or draw) you could get her a nice notebook and decorate the cover with pictures of the two of you, then use the first page to write a note to her. It's not too difficult to do and it has a personal touch. On the other hand, if you like to draw, you could draw a cartoon of the two of you or a favorite memory. Hope this helps!

Kaya asked-
Hi! Do you have some good blogs like yours to recommend?Thank you!
I'm glad you asked, actually, because I've been forgetting to mention this! All of my favorite blogs are now listed on my sidebar in the order of who posted most recently. Take a look, I love them, so there's a good chance you will too. (By the way, that list is always changing, so if you have any blogs you love, tell me about them!)

Okay, that's all I have this week, but don't forget to send in your own questions for next week!

Feeling light headed...

If you read my post yesterday you know that I got my hair cut a lot shorter. You  also know that I promised you pictures, so here they are-

Before-

And After-

It may not look like much, but I got off a whole 8 inches. I was super worried that I would miss my long hair but I really love having it this short. Since my hair is really thick and frizzy most of the time, it's just easier to handle now that it's shorter.

If you have anything on your blog like this I would love to see it! Makeover things are so fun (one of the few reasons I still watch TLC). Just post a link!

The flowers will grow and then you'll know...

Dress- Lauren Conrad for Kohls
Sweater- Mossimo

If you had told me yesterday that today was going to be a great day, I probably would have hit you with something. However I would have eventually apologized, because you would have been right.
I passed my big Algebra 2 state test! I didn't pass advanced, but honestly I don't really care. I passed! WOOHOO!

In other news, I got my hair cut today (Don't worry, there will be pictures tomorrow).

Tonight's also super exciting because two of my favorite shows are coming back on TV- Pretty Little Liars and Dance Moms. Oh shoot, that starts in two minutes, so I better go.

Bye!

Always,
Abby Noel

P.S. I would love it if all of you guys would comment on my posts, it makes me feel less like I'm talking to myself.

Things that have slipped my mind...

I have lots of stuff that I've neglected to put into a post, so this is pretty much going to be a collage of everything.

First of all, I have been absolutely terrible with posting both Ask Abby and Fantasy Friday every week. You all know how busy I've been in the past months which has made it hard to post regularly. So I'm moving the post date for Ask Abby (which has a button on the sidebar if you don't know what I'm talking about) to Thursdays since Mondays are always busy days for me. Also, this Friday I will be starting Fantasy Friday over again. (I'll explain it all over again in that post if you don't know what it is.)

In other news, Holka Polka went really well last Thursday. It was my last play at the school I'm currently at and I was definitely afraid that it wouldn't turn out, but luckily it did. One lady from the audience even went up to me after the show and complimented my acting and how I played my character. And everyone in the audience seemed to enjoy it, so that just made all the stress of the rehearsal process worth it.

Also I've been trying to fit this picture into a post but it hasn't really been related to anything. I suppose since this post is completely random, I can put it in here. They're hydrangeas that my mom planted a while ago and  were nearly dead for quite some time but recently perked up and blossomed.

Make sure to check back here tomorrow, too. Somehow I'm managing to keep up with posting everyday, so there should always be something new.

Well I hope everyone had a great Monday!

Abby Noel

A fantastic way to brighten my day...

This has got to be the most lovely rainbow I've ever seen. The picture doesn't really capture it, but it was SO bright. And just before taking this picture there were two rainbows at the same time!
Needless to say, this was a wonderful surprise.

Hide me in the shadow of your wings...

Last week was the final youth group night for the school year other than our banquet this week, and I already miss it. I've only been going for a year but I've grown really close to all the people, especially those in my small group. It's going to be hard trying to find a new youth group that's even half as wonderful as this one is.

As an end-of-the-year present, everyone got a small wooden box with all the bible verses we've had lessons on inside of it. It's such a thoughtful gift, I wanted to make mine a little special so I decided to decorate it. Originally I was only going to draw a dove, but it quickly catapulted into a whole art project that took me around two hours to finish.

Here's what the box looked like first-

And here is the final product-

Hope everyone's having a great weekend!

Always,
Abby Noel

P.S. Tomorrow I'll post about how the play went on Thursday (I have something really great to tell you).
